It is Darkness (which is relevant later), spawns corpses every 2.5 seconds (needed for healing/resummoning skeletons), casts from range (which is where you want to be), and Acolyte's Decompose gives a 10% damage boost to your minions. By far the strongest option without gimmicks. There are three worth looking at here, as Bone Splinters adds nothing significant to a minion build (a chance for vulnerability is just not enough to count) My overall thoughts on the tree are at the end. This is written from the perspective of someone looking to be a full-on summoner. Plenty of guides, but those focus on talents taken, not talents passed over, and most of them are really bone spear or corpse explosion builds with a minion framework.
